Description

Jewel 20 Population Sewage Treatment Plant Septic Tank Conversion Unit

jewel sewage treatment plant septic tank conversion

KEY BENEFITS:

  • Manufactured from tough glass reinforced plastic.
  • No restrictions on items flushed down the toilet, because the Septic Tank intercepts all tampons, panty liners, make-up remover pads, cotton buds, nappy liners, etc. which cause problems in many sewage treatment units.
  • Ideal for Holiday Lets and Rental properties.
  • Extremely low running costs - just 60 watts, the equivalent of a very small light bulb.
  • No internal electrical or mechanical moving parts – e.g. bio-discs, bearings, belts, motors to replace.
  • Small footprint - just a small lid, which lies flush with the ground.
  • Easy to install optional inlet and outlet dimensions.
  • Very high quality final effluent.

Jewel treatment plants can also be supplied with a pumped outlet for sites that do not have sufficient fall to discharge under gravity. So don't rush to replace your existing septic tank system.....consider replacing it with a Jewel sewage treatment system. Here's how it works....

jewel sewage treatment plant how it works

1  Effluent from the Septic Tank enters the media filled first stage of the unit.

2  Air is then blown into this chamber by the low wattage compressor.

3  Aerobic bacteria establish themselves in the first chamber and breakdown the Septic Tank effluent more efficiently.

4  The treated effluent is then passed into the second chamber where any remaining suspended solids are allowed to settle out and the final treated effluent is discharged.

Sewage Treatment Plant Properly Registered?

Under the new EPP2 regulations, only septic tanks with the EN12566-3 2005 Certification are allowed to register for the Discharge Permit or Exemption now required by the Environment Agency for all new septic tanks or older tanks which were not previously registered with the Environment Agency for 'Consent to discharge'.

For more important information on the relevant legislation and how this may affect you please take a  look at our Sewage Disposal Legislation page.

If you would like UK Septic Tanks to register your Septic Tank or Sewage Treatment Plant with the Environment Agency then please go to our Registration Service page.
